The shop will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving and we will be following the trend started by REI and are choosing to remain closed on what has become known as Black Friday.  Giving our staff another day to spend with families and hopefully enjoy some time outside.  Normal shop hours will resume on Saturday 11/28 and Sunday 11/29.  #optoutside

Midseason Fat Bike Update!

If you woke up to a sweet new fat bike under the tree, you’re a lucky biker. If you didn’t, you’re even luckier because that means you can come pick out your own from our wide variety of fat bike options!

We have fat bikes from Surly, Boo Bikes, and Specialized, with a few oddballs occasionally mixed in. Below is our fat bike corner; not shown are tires, fenders, and other fat bike specific accessories that we keep in stock.

The Surly Pugsley is the original fat bike, and still one of the best. We have a 2014 Special “Ops” Edition Pugsley with an 18″ frame that we’re blowing out. This Pugs is built up with Shimano components, sweet chrome rims, special tan-wall tires, and limited edition paintjob.

Was: $2500, is now $2100.

We’ve had the pleasure of building a few custom fat bikes recently for some lucky customers.

First is this Moots Frosthammer. This is the nicest fat bike you will ever see.

The full titanium frame, with the matching titanium seatpost, is built up with a Sram XX1 drivetrain with a carbon RaceFace Next SL crankset, HED BFD carbon rims laced to Industry Nine hubs, Salsa Makwa carbon fork, Thomson Ti handlebars, and Sram XX brakes.

Next is an Alubooyah fat bike from Boo Bicycles, with a custom paint scheme from Boo.

This beaut belongs to one very happy customer, Mike Loots, who wrote a heartfelt thank-you to the guys at Boo for crafting his steed. The blog post is here.
